Actually Microsoft is like Bush's big oil pals in some ways. Only his propduct doesn't pollute the world. Bush isn't trying to violate virgin wildlife preserves to get it. and we don't start wars in the middle east over it. Do we? Also, I didn't notice Microsoft tripling the price of its software for the west coast after Bush-cheney were first nominated. However Gates did donate to the very shady and suspicious Delay Foundation, a phony charity which may have used corporate donations to fund the smearvets campaign and other dirty tricks. At they did indirectly. But the connection may be direct as well.
