Good idea. Unfortunately, at this time of the year up here, if you wanted to bring something made with fresh produce, it would probably be restricted to last year's potatoes, onions, turnips and apples (not that you can't make something out of those). I guess you could use greenhouse tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers as well, but beyond that, I don't think there would be much else to choose from without getting into last year's frozen of canned stuff - which is probably okay too. That's one of the downsides of living up here in the Frozen North -- we depend far too much on food imports from October through to May each year. Guess the same is true for a lot of other places though.
