JCP, I find that story VERY hard to believe.

Yeah, something just doesn't sound right about the article's lead-in. But I thought it might be something that Jim would be interested in. Maybe not.

I find that story VERY hard to believe. That's $70,720 a year, for healthy physical work in an area that doesn't get hot, where the median household income is $36,687. All that woman needs to do to be flooded with applicants is to put that she pays $34/hr in her ads. Why join Gold's when you can get PAID to lift weights?

Its nonsense.....total and utter nonsense. Unfortunately, people will fall for it. I'm sure its a standard story brought up and dusted off to defend the need for illegals.

JCP and all, a follow-up on the L.A. Times story that I posted a while back:

Message 22464693

The lead-in was an employer who claimed she couldn't find anyone to do her landscaping, even for $34/hour. Turns out she's a fraud, that she's just working for a pro-amnesty lobbying group.

This is what I heard over the radio this afternoon.
