I think Kanter was just mistaken, or Moore, as he's done before, was talking about his team's *internal dates*, like finishing the design. He did that with respect to 90nm Rev E or Rev D (I forget) features, back in early 2004, I think, in a presentation. Refered to stuff being "done" or "finished" that didn't appear for over 1 year.

The Electronic News article does say "available" although it is not a direct quote. It would make sense for AMD to push dual-core K8L on the desktop before quad-core K8L so Q2 07 sounds reasonable if desktop quad-core is H1 08.
