INTC...worth a second look.

Because DELL announced that they would offer some AMD chips on their servers, INTC tanked after hours. (near $18.00 / shr).

I don't know where the exact bottom is for INTC, but at 18 I'm buying.

Dell's quarterly report was some what better than expected, as evidenced bu the after hours upside.

For today the mental debate was.... add more AMAT or add more INTC. Either choice would be good, but I'm adding INTC in the AM.

Tomorrow is options expiration and I expect a continued sell off as most of these quality stocks will fall to the next lowest strike ( maximum pain).

Has anyone got a reason to expect a rally tomorrow?

HI Kirk,

My buy finger is getting an Intel itch.

getting really close.

When the world realizes that Intel is about to transition to dual rate Dram and built in 3G wireless in every microprocessor Intel spits out - AMD will still look good in high end servers and look several billion and generations behind in where the big market is - PC microprocessors.

I do believe that this upgrade has been delayed by Microsofts Vista delay and that has to a degree put a wrench in Intels transition and next generation dominance.

JMHO
