FDR gave us the greatest economic rebound in world history Another 7 years of depression was "the greatest economic rebound in world history"?!? So what if he raised taxes? We were fighting a World War on two fronts. Once again he raised taxes so high that the government actually had less revenue because of the high tax rates. It was economic foolishness on an enormous scale. Also the taxes were raised before WWII so "We were fighting a World War on two fronts", isn't an escuse.
