Stupid wedge issues wont save Bush or the GOP this time.
People have woken up to the corporate rightwing's trick to try and hoodwink religious right voters into voting against their own self-interests by demonizing minority groups.

The gay marriage ban was not passed it was merely approved for discussion on the floor. It will be interesting to see how many GOP senators would actually alter the Constitution just to try and prop up Bush's sagging numbers with the wackos on the far religious right. And with cheney as the tie-breaker would he actually vote against his prior position (and his lesbian daughter's) that this is a state rights issue.

PS: Kerry is not for gay marriage. Neither am I. But this is strictly a BS distraction issue so we're going to call the closet cases on the right on it.
