The points I mentioned have been extensively discussed here and elsewhere. Don't tell me you never before heard the administration claim that the president has the authority to declare anyone an "enemy combatent" and hold them indefinitly? Most recently, yesterday, the president's CIA director nominee defended the wiretapping program before Congress. It was televised live.
