Dell is not going to sacrifice relationship with intel for 4s systems - not much revenue there. What makes you sure they didn't come to an arrangement with Intel? "Okay, 4S servers, we admit we have no good solution there for another couple years, but nothing else, and we'll take the PR hit now, before we launch the NGA stuff."

I think you will be sorely disappointed if you believe there will be performance problems with NGA. In a couple months every computer hardware website and magazine is likely going to be crowning Conroe the new "king" of the desktop. Don't be surprised if for the first time in years Intel picks up most of the editors choice awards and fan choice awards at the end of this year for the most innovative, highest performance and most desirable consumer CPUs.
