Gore knew within days of the 2000 election that Jeb Bush had conspired with Choicepoint and the Texas Governor's office to scrub thousands and thousands of legal probable Gore voters from the rolls. Gore also let them get away with all those thousands of "military votes" which arrived suspiciously late from overseas and were organized by the GOP.

He "lost" by 527 votes. Any thing aggressive he could have done would have made the difference. And might have changed the Supremo decision.

Other things I disliked about Gore in 2000 were his choice of Lieberman, his losing a debate or two to Bush, not taking on Nader more aggressively and not including Clinton in his campaign until the last minute, thereby buying into the Monica bimbo smear campaign business. Remember, it was the bimbo smears against Clinton which hurt Gore just as much as smearvets hurt Kerry. And Gore never challenged the accusers, just avoided Clinton. Even picked Clinton's biggest moral critic Lieberman as his running mate. Lieberman was awful and didn't score a single punch against Cheney.

Anyway, I like Al, but the fire in the belly is what I'd be looking for. So far we have not seen it.

Oh yeah, and Gore backing Dean was wimpy. He should have known that was a mistake. Dean was not going to go the distance even if he had won the nomination.

Maybe Gore should have done what Kerry did when he was cheated out of the presidency. Kerry went on a skiing vacation to Colorado and left very low ranking backers to fight for him in Ohio.

Remember how Kerry and Hillary avoided the reporters when Murtha came out against Iraq. They both (and many other democrats) wanted to see what public opinion was before they would take a stand. Gore didn't have to do that, he had already came out against it.

Can Bill Clinton attach a signing statement to the 22nd amendment retroactively? If the constitution, laws and treaties can be ignored for so many different phony reasons just by hollering 9/11, terrests or national security surely Clinton can get around not being allowed to be elected 3 times. Most of the population would agree it would be the best thing for our security there is.

Taking it to the Supreme Court isn't protesting?

Hear! Hear!

Al Gore did everything but take up arms to protest the fraudulent election of 2000. What else was left to do?
