B-25, not B-52. HUGE difference but common mistake. Look at the pic in the link. Barely a hole. Also notice the concrete exterior.

Empire State Building is also largely a concrete building. If you go inside you see concrete everywhere. The twin towers broke that mold.

No, actually you did not see a photo of a B-52 which had flown into the Empire State Building.

What you saw was a photo of a B-25 which had flown into the Empire State Building.
