Crimson > Palestinians are not people to coexist with, but a natural-born threat and pest. You do not negotiate or coexist with pests. You spray them with pesticide whenever an occasion comes. This is a brief summary of the ethos of the Israeli establishment, the way I see it.

It goes even further than this. This disease, deliberately administered by 9/11, of course, has infected the American public which now also regards all Muslims in the same way, or worse.

As a citizen of a former colonial and, indeed, racist country, it's actually quite strange for me to see this 20th century colonialism by Israel and the US taking place with exactly the same contempt towards the indigenous population as was seen in all the colonial countries of the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. All I can say is this is a very stupid and self-defeating policy which both Israel and the US will one day bitterly regret. It's a pity that the arrogance and hubris of both nations prevent them from learning from the experience of others. And in Israel's case particularly, they seem to have completely forgotten the experience of the Jews in Nazi Germany which appears to have left only bitterness and resentment for others and no understanding or compassion for those in less fortunate situations -- other than themselves, of course.
