I don't know if you rememeer a leak of a CRAY win for ORNL, that would be the first petaflop machine, and it implies quad core K8L running a 2.6 GHz. A poster on Ihub mentioned that ORNL would not commit to such a system without seeing something. See these posts:

I do recall that. That would imply even an earlier QC K8L tape out. I guess this June update will be very interesting. I hope we are not being set up for a let down. Somehow.....I don't think so.
