j3pflynn, on Pacifica reviews

The latest Xen release is supposed to support Pacifica, so a Turion X2 review should be possible with Xen. I expect VMWare to introduce a new version of their software next week, along with the AM2 launch, but have nothing to back that up. (Xen availability already is a powerful incentive to them to introduce, though.)

A Xen under Pacifica review would be very interesting. I don't follow the Xen developer lists, but it could be that release of Turion X2 allows them to release performance figures. Perhaps what we should do is find a developer and ask?

Oh, and I was thinking I'd have to wait a while to buy a 17" Turion X2 notebook when HP introduces them, but it seems the Dell announcement is going to make the purchase a bit easier :).

By the by, I may be doing some work on a Yonah dual core notebook in the very near future -- shame I won't have a Turion X2 to compare.
