Doug:

I will say "In volume when?" Releasing it in June with the first thousand to show up around December would be par for the course. Of course you will see that 20% increase wither when real server loads are used. And you will see that 2 socket Woodcrest system use more power than comparably clocked 2S Opteron DCs, before socket F ones come along reducing power while boosting performance some more. And then along comes Bulldozer (K8L) to bury NGA.

You better hope that Woodcrest gets a slight overall lead in performance. If it is behind, Intel's situation will be plain ugly. If it is behind when volume finally shows, it will do a "Dempsey" or "Paxville", (DOA).
