That is one reason why I have always been in favor of gridlock. At least that way they can't go too far too fast in the wrong direction. Now that one party is in fact in charge we can see how fast they can take the country in a wrong direction when the opposition has no power to stop them. Personally I would be happy to see a filibuster until after the elections this year so that no more totally one sided legislation is allowed to pass. Sounds radical, but I would support it. (and I know it would never happen)
