In Japan real estate dropped as much as 80% -- that is a crash. 30% is just a nasty correction, and in real estate you should expect that sort of thing. It is not the end of the world -- not all by itself -- but it of course will expose the underlying pathetic nature of our economy.

Actually RE now is exactly the same as stocks in the late 1920's but Oct 1929 has not happened yet.
