Actually, I have thought about this over the years from time to time; long before the DaVinci Code came out. In my opinion there are at least two undesirable results: The wife would be considered a very special human being, having at least as much mystique attached to her as His earthly mother has, easily casting her in men's minds as another supposed Heavenly Mediatrix -- a totally undesirable effect -- for He is the only Mediator between God and men. The kid(s) - the same. Whoever comes down from His physical line could rival the saints of the church He commissioned with His message with undue influence. There is no guarantee that any of His children and further descendants would repent and become believers in Him -- a requirement to be made right with God and carry the message of the gospel. Potentially, that would leave the world with a line of super-brats, exploiting their fame because of their physical connection to Him.
