"I don't feel like arguing over semantics, so let's see how many politicians support one of the following "pragmatic" solutions of yours:

a) Increasing the payroll deduction.
b) Reducing benefits to current and future retirees.
c) Raising the retirement age."

You left off

d) Means testing
e) Eliminating the 90k FICA cap
f) Applying FICA to capital gains

On purpose? I think with the judicious balanced application of some or all of these, SS is easily fixable. I'd MUCH rather spend money to take care of the aged and disabled in America than fight pointless foreign wars.

re: I don't feel like arguing over semantics

The difference between ideology and pragmatism isn't semantics. Unless you "don't feel like arguing" a losing argument, and use semantics as an excuse. Typical.

Two out of three ain't bad... but it's still strawman crap, as usual. Intentional misrepresentation. What happened to your intellectual integrity?

You want to have a discussion, fine. Just try not to be dishonest, OK?
