--Only for people who can easily afford it, and don't NEED SS anyway. If they want to collect SS, they could give away their fortunes.

e) Eliminating the FICA cap is another form of increasing the payroll deduction.

--Why SHOULD FICA HAVE a 90k cap? It wouldn't increase the amount the vast majority of Americans pay. The median American wage is $34,197.63 (for 2004).

f) Applying FICA to capital gains is the same thing.

--Why SHOULDN'T people that derive their income from capital gains help support our retirement system?
