Which Windows operating system did you use?

Windows 2000 Pro because it is the last (along with Mac OS 9) that can deal with the one program I cannot live without. XP can't deal with it, nor can OS X.

I'm concerned that Parallels as beta software would damage the Mac side.

Can't see that happening, at all. Been dicking around with Parallels since build 1. Yes, it crashed me a bunch of times, up to beta 5. Since then, never. The latest build 7 (RC cola or whatever they now call it) has performed 100% since I downloaded it, admittedly less than 24 hrs ago, but still...

Would not sweat the damage thang, at all!!!

One more thought about experimenting with new software of any kind -- especially Windows on Mac:

Back up beforehand!

One word of Mac advice on that: SuperDuper!

shirt-pocket.com

Takes about 2 hours to back up the first time, maybe quarter of an hour max to synch after that.

No way am I doing anything new to may darling toy before making a SuperDuper! backup first! No way!
