Take these 1MB babys out and sell instead small DIE fast
running F-Steps or Venice - doesn't matter. So if we do that
conservative, we could replace 4000+ old 2,4G (1MB), with
2,6G (512) and add another 4200+ (?) with 2,8G (512kb).


As far as I know, AMD is going to do just that. There is no 1 MB SC F-Step. The only thing that's missing is 4200 SC at 2.8 GHz. That one would conflict with what will be a high volume 4200 DC.

What I see happening instead is move of the entire Athlon brand to DC, and extension of Sempron line higher, including full 512K caches. I think there is only one mask set for F-Step SC, and it has 512K cache. AMD is fusing a part of it out on the entire Sempron line.
