Truman was a real leader, unlike Bush. When he said "the buck stops here", he meant that's what real leadership is all about, not cover-ups, lies, evasions, rewarding liars, firing truth-tellers, attacking the messengers, blaming foreigners.

Do you realize Bush has yet to admit he was wrong about anything, apologize, take on corruption, correct his mistakes, veto a single pork-laden spending bill, tell the truth about a single major issue?

I'm not a Truman expert, but I know he had character. He also dropped the atom bomb and started the Korean War. The latter was probably unpopular, I really don't know much about that war. But in terms of accountability Truman was a role model.
