Ted, While I can't find specific figures, this study suggests that the US spends more than 3rd world countries but less than some developed nations. I don't get it. The CNN article says that America is #1 in education spending. Did you? I didn't. My parents wanted me to get straight A's every single semester. Never was satisfied with anything less; I could get all A's and one B, and that B would be considered a shame on the family. It drove me up the wall, but you know what? I'll probably be the same way toward my kids. This is one of the FEW ways I want to be like my parents when I have kids. Tenchusatsu
