Gore isn't the answer unless he creates a third party and has an epiphany.

Quit joking about Purple Hearts. They represent wounds in combat. The rightwing makes fun of Max Cleland's three blown-off limbs, the shrapnel in Kerry's leg and his minor sliver wound which admittedly was treatable with a Bandaid. Apparently they have no respect for wounded combat heros who happen to be democrats.

But did you know that Bob Dole's second Purple Heart was also from a small sliver cut treatable with a Bandaid? And did know that since Dole retired not a single rightwing leader has even served in combat? Zero.

Point being, a combat hero should be respected and his medals never questioned just to make a jealous partisan smear. Bullets don't have brains and the margin between life and death in combat can be inches. Also, small slivers of shrapnel have been known to kill.
