Re: Ok, so what do they need to show it doing to keep the bears from saying, "Is that all? Must be a sick process." A working silicon demo is a two edged sword. The 800MHz Opteron demos were "rock solid 1st silicon", but targets of catcalls as to speed from the Itanic crowd.

Ideally it would need to be running at a higher frequency than the recent 2GHz Clovertown demo. Acheiving higher clock-for-clock performance than Clovertown in 64-bit Cinebench 9.5 would make an even bigger impression. Cinebench has not been shown to be very friendly to Yonah or NGA so far.
