wow PC mall is really going all out on the configured macbooks with preinstalled windows option.

It costs about $60 extra on the Macbook Pro, and about $100 on the Mac Books.

yeh - competition from overseas did change the software picture somewhat ... glad I was born when I was!

But even if that weren't true, most bright kids still would have to find a way around the ugly turn-off stuff you probably have to learn in highschool-college as prerequisites for a future in software.

By the way, the 'opteron team' came to AMD from the old DEC/VAX designers, the first-and- only-for-awhile 64 bit chip. It is( until recently?) still the top performance chip in many ways.
