What I'm saying is if Intel manages to get more competitive Intel may make it worth while for Dell to drop AMD. That wouldn't be surprising considering Dell has been loyal to Intel in other markets where AMD also has had a performance and performance/price advantage.

The operative words here are "has been loyal". That is past tense.
