You might be better off looking for OSX software that will read and work on the older OS9-created files.

For instance, EazyDraw on OSX will read and work on MacDraw, MacDraw Pro, and ClarisDraw files. After the program has read-in an old file, you can apply a huge number of tools that never existed in the old programs.

I'm sure if you nose around, you'll probably find some OSX-compatible software that will accept the legacy files you're interested in.
