I think the American public is now aware that Bush, a member of the right (even if they don't want him to be a member any more), has potentially created security problems with his war in Iraq, a war against an "enemy" that it turns out wasn't a danger to us, and that this war has diverted funds and resources from other much more important tasks- including security tasks. That makes the right, at least as it is embodied by Mr. Bush, dangerous to our security.

It is easy to say that liberals or the left or whomever, doesn't know America's enemies need to be fought, but it isn't true. The fact is the left and the right disagree on who the enemies are, and how to fight them- which is an argument on ways and means, but it's not about pacifism. If it were about pacifism then the left wouldn't have supported the war in Iraq when it was presented with Bush's spurious data showing Iraq was a threat to the US.
