I'm not personally aware of a case, but I do know that Spanish speaking folks on trial have a right to a translator and/or a Spanish speaking lawyer. BTW, many major league baseball players can't speak English fluently enough to be interviewed in English.
I'm guessing that most hispanic pitchers have Spanish speaking catchers or translators when the coach goes out to speak to them.
I'm sure the same is true for American guys playing winter ball in South and Central America.

Another aside, if you've been to Europe, for example, you know you'll have very little trouble getting along in English. It seems that Americans offer the most resistance to learning a second language...
