Air America was barred from LA when the rightwing corporate media blocked them access. The rightwing controls most of corporate radio these days, in case you didn't know that, which in turn controls most of the band-width. That's why even in heavily democratic LA, it's hard to find a single non-rightwing radio talkshow. Whoever's running the stations is protecting the rightwing hosts and making it very difficult for any other perspectives to be heard. Otherwise LA would be filled with diverse voices. Air America also had hiccups and growing pains at first. And they still need to recruit better hosts. Franken and Randy Rhodes are good but can't hold a candle to Ed Schultz. For the good of our democracy, I plead with everyone to turn off the Hannity and Limbaugh and only listen to fair, open-minded honest debate shows, especially Ed Schultz if you can find him on your dial.
