Albert,

What I am wondering is if you get a better fill if you place a combined order. Let me give you an example

Bid Ask
Option A 0.80 0.85 You are selling this one
Option B 2.40 2.50 You are buying this one

So buying one leg at the time, you would be buying at 2.50 and selling at .80, for a net debit of 1.70. Suppose these are the current realtime prices. How would you submit your order? Do you have a chance to get your order filled if you submit your order as a limit order and something less than 1.70?

The reason I ask is because in the past I stepped into the positions one leg at the time, because my previous broker did not allow online placement of spreads. My new broker does.
