You have an active and quite incorrect imagination. That's all I can tell you pf you for sure. People can have opinions and appreciate points without being paid by a soul. And for what it's worth, I think any two people can win when discussing politics, and if someone thinks they lost it tells me two things about them: the other party (me, in your example) is probably winning and they surely don't understand the concept of a positive evolution. And some people, perhaps you, don't think there can be a grain of truth outside of their own belief system, and so they will deny rather than evolve, or attack messengers rather than manage a reply, and that's just a loss.
