There is little choice in radio stations anymore. The big Clear Channel types control almost everything. Typically in a small city you have big industrial radio (usually with rightwing talkshows only), sports channel, news channel, religious channels and Spanish channels, then varuious music channels where the play list is also regulated by big corporate radio. Bush-Cheney and Michael Powell made insutrial dominance of radio twice as bad. There's so little real independent and local radio or TV anymore, almost none. So Air America and Ed Schultz have a very hard time even getting air-time. But once they do they usually do well. Schultz especially, He is the best thing onm American readio these days, like an honest version of Rush Limbaugh.
