The solution is to bring folks in legally, just like other free market and free nations do around the world. Many EU nations welcome people from abroad to enter their labor markets, but have some rules.

Sure, the statistics just came out and revealed that a total of 178 non EU immigrants with a higher level education made it legally into Germany Q1, 2006.

One qualified comment: "Would have been better if that figure had been x10".

Uh.....we already do that. Illegals are on top of the legal immigrants that come to this country. In fact, Mexico has one of the largest quotas for legal immigrants.

As for the EU, they are having similar problems. Do you really know any of the topics in which you profess to be an expert?

Those coming in should have to meet some standards like these other countries require. Such as they must find, or have a job to stay. They must learn and demonstrate their ability to speak the local language and they must pass basic tests of local laws, customs and the like to stay.

Legal immigrants to the US do have to meet certain requirements. Its illegals who do not.

Why don’t we just adopt the same or a similar policy? Let folks come into our country and register with our national immigration authorities. Many nations in Europe and the Far East already require this.

We already have. Where have you been?
