The problem with the Bush or Bush-like comparison is that if McCain is the Rep nominee, that's not likely to work. Or Guiliani for that matter.

At the moment, I don't see any other Rep candidate as a strong general election candidate.

My guess is that Gore will wait to see what happens through much of 07 before deciding one way or the other. But may work the media to see if his image can be improved.
