I really enjoyed the book and couldn't put it down. I see no way the movie can have that effect on me and to be honest I'm hesitant to see it I enjoyed the book so much. To many others over the years have been so disappointing.

I read the book several years ago, before all the hype. It was a page turner for me. I saw it as fiction then, and it's still fiction.

The movie is no different.

My advice is to read the book first. I've never felt motivated to read a book after seeing a movie of it first. Come to think of it, I can't remember a time when I've ever done that.

Movies put flesh on a book, helping me to visualize the characters and scenes that I read about. My favorite example is "Lonesome Dove," one of the best movies ever made. It's based on a novel of the same name. To me, every time I reread the novel I see the characters in the movie.

The book is better than the movie, so see the movie first with a fresh mind, and then read the book and get all the details!

There's no real spoilers anyway.

I thought the movie was fun. I might see it again, and this time, sit closer. I had to sit on the very last row when I saw it opening day - at a matinee!
