It did take guts for her to write that. I never get into the philosophy aspects. For me its all about self defense. They want to kill me and mine and will do absolutely anything they can including mass murder to make that happen. I will do whatever necessary to prevent this. As for the esoteric discussion of the morality of sending missiles down upon the enemy i will not comment upon, except to say that i as most of us would love to live in a world where none of this is necessary. Has the US done some bad things in recent history. Sure. Do i want to live in a Taliban type nation--fuck that.

They were cowards.
Killing defenseless innocents is cowardly enough. But running and hiding in a cave while the world tries to figure out who might have perpetrated the act is hardly standing up bravely for the principle you believe in. The hijackers took the easy way out, martyring themselves, while Bin Laden ran and hid like a frightened bunny.
