I don't doubt there will be continual fighting in Iraq & Afghanistan for quite a while. Al Qaeda & terrorist sponsoring nations like Iran understand the stakes. I believe they will continue to press forward & slowly bleed significant numbers in the process. What I would like to see is to have them crushed to the point that although there is still violence, it continues to dwindle as it has for many months as we root out the bastards & the Iraqi's stand & fight them up more & more. And as you indicated, we can reduce our presence there significantly.
