"China...will not allow any economic collapse before the Beijing Olympics in 2008. This comes from a piece that has many of the ingredients of what I think. Millenium bug extended the tech bubble for a coupe of years, thus delaying the crash OECD countries used to party and we got the hangover. The cycle is alive but what ends this one? Had Germany reunification not happened, Germany (and Europe) have tanked much ealier. And the billion dollar question: Growth in OECD countries will derail growth elsewhere or it will de-couple?
