Nixon expanded the war and kept it going for 5 years resulting in about 300,000 people killed. I am sick and tired of BS artist Republicans trying to give Nixon a pass. Nixon was a pro war president until 1972 when public pressure forced him to end the war. And even when he was withdrawing troops, he was escalating bombing runs, huge-huge illegal bombing campaigns. Dropped more bombs on that poor country than in all of WWII. Plus Nixon attack us back home too, waging an illegal war against critics of the war. Also, quit lumping in JFK. He merely had Green Beret advisors in there running a smallish counter-insurgency campaign. JFK does not deserve any blame for Vietnam, in fact many experts say he was planning to end it when the rightwing murdered him.
