Amnesty for folks that could pass a English proficiency test and criminal background check would be more reasonable.

I dont think the word amnesty applies but i too support guest worker status and a path to citizenship that may follow. For the parents of kids who are already citizens we have no choice but to legalize their status. We cant de facto kick american kids out of the country because thats what effectively the KLPs would do.
