Saddam did (finally) allow UN inspectors anywhere they wanted including royal palaces. He did it in stages, but no UN inspector was inhibited for long. They were allowed to search anywhere they wanted, BECAUSE we had a very real threat or force near the Iraqi border.

What did the UN inspectors find? A model glider about ten feet long which Bushies lied about saying it was a WMD delivery device. And some old rockets which were slightly longer than the UN sanctions allowed. That's all.

Allowing these inspections to proceed was and should have been the entire point of the war powers vote. Forcing Saddam to comply with the UN resolutions.

In fact, it was what Bush promised the intent would be, promising to go to war "only as a last resort". Bush even had the gall to claim he was for "peace". But he never was. He was intent on invading even before 9-11.

Bush told the UN inspectors to leave just as they were trying to finish. Three years later still no WMD were ever found in Iraq, and Bush knew that was probably the case before he invaded. In short, he lied and misled. You cannot deny that. it's plain fact.
