Big Brother just came in there and whacked that idea.

Info is coming out that his story is false. I do not know who is in denial, but we shall soon learn...

Fake Army Vet: No Service Records At All
So, I was wrong. I expected some amount of service, just greatly exaggerated.

Nope.

None at all.

I never linked or mentioned the background on this. If you don't know, Jessie MacBeth is featured in an Internet "documentary" that's gotten a lot of play. My video-viewing capabilities are still fragged, but, from what I gathered, he alleges he executed loads of Iraqi civilians under direct orders.

In reality, the closest he came to "the shit" was when the fry cooker at Wendy's splattered some oil on his hand. He handled himself with such uncommon valor during that episode that Wendy's offered to put him into its Management-slash-Pheonix-Project program.

Bonus: On this DU thread, they report he has resigned from the Iraq Veterans Against the War.

And scan down for a little DU detective work. Jesse Adam MacBeth had his name changed at age 2. His original name was Jesse Adam Al-Zaid.

A little more incentive to lie, perhaps.

Thanks to Allah for the tip.

I'm shocked! His story seemed airtight, so real, I could almost feel the killin' myself.

What. A. Douche.

God it must suck being a Kosmonaut/DU flake. Every time they get a juicy story it gets snatched away. And still they remain true believers. It's like the story of the little boy who comes downstairs on Christmas morning and finds the room covered in horseshit. He gets all excited. His parents ask him why, and he says, "with all this shit, there has to be a pony somewhere!"

Sure he wasn't born a Heinz/Kerry?

Well at least the DU/KOS kids still have the Rove indictment.....don't they?

I'm sure Jesse will get over his disgrace and humiliation, and soon. Big-time liars like him don't spend much time with guilt and self-recrimmination, otherwise they wouldn't be big-time liars. He'll rationalize, excuse, and exculpate his lies out of existence and go on his merry way, the prick. Nothing significant, in terms of the effects on his personal and professional life, will really come of it. After a little while the whole episode will be forgotten and he'll do okay. There is no justice.

His professional life, Snate? Dude works at Wendy's. Not like he's got a CBS anchorship riding on his veracity, nor like he was next in line for SecDef in Hillary's cabinet.

Actually, this sort of public exposure has nipped this kind of poserin the bud before. Ever hear from Micah Wright again? I think the anti-war lecture circuit will be a little less welcoming in the future.
