TJ of all investments I did the ones that are paying dirty is real estate in Brazil:

In the last 8 years real estate prices doubled. For a city of similar size: Constructed m2 is USD1.000 in Florianopolis and USD1250 Porto Alegre.

In Curitiba? m2 USD600! Prices are coming up fast to reach the same level of other cities of similar size in a couple of years.

Residencial properties of high level are in high demand. (That S. Paulo trouble will add up to the demand soon!) Today I passed by a sign: "Seeking residential for foreigners" I called and the guy was telling. We have more people trying to rent than offering.

I asked a few questions and he explained:

Apr./May Jun. typical foreigners arrival time.

Sept. Oct. Nov. post-graduation arrival time.

My area, he says, not a problem! There's a new court in the same block and they are consolidating the soutrhern Brazil all here. So many judges seeking to settle here.

As soon as I move next October, I will put this place on the block.

<I think ... sell, sell on bounce, everything, except oil sands,>

Oil sands?

You surprise me that you think that is more than what it is.
