Just to produce the semiconductor growth in 2008 compared to 2005 chipfactories need at least 46 new fabs.
Right now 24 fabs are under construction.
I expect 10 more in the second half of 2006 en 10 more in the beginning of 2007 under construction.
This growth in 2008 is 35% in value compared to 2005, but 60% in units….
I expect ASML to fill at least 80% of these new fabs or about 250 to 300 lithomachines between now and mid 2007.
So, today's press release was no surprise and more or less expected.....
