I dont know, its still in the box, but based upon my neighbors from last hurricane, the noise isnt so bad. Plus you dont run them all the time, in my case one tank of gas only lasts 9 hours (5 gal.). So, probably wont run it overnight. My thinking is run it in the morning to heat the water in our 52 gal. hot water heater, and long enough to freeze everything in the freezer, then shut it down for most of the day. Maybe run it a short while in the evening. jdn
