7.27 grams per liter makes for about 7 parts per thousand. or .7 blood alcohol content. Which I think would be something like a 200 lb man drinking a quart and a half of Whiskey or Vodka all at once (or even more alcohol if it was drank over time or if the BAC test was done after the man's blood alcohol content reached its peak.

He did try to freshen up in the morning by drinking a beer...just think, this was AFTER he slept, which makes it even more astounding.
