The more I learn about TRX the more enthusiastic I get. Management consists largely of ex-Placer executives. One of the ex-Placer prospects they elected to obtain from Goldcorp is the Maze Lake project in Nunavut. It is an early stage exploration project and has been optioned to Laurentian Goldfields, a TSX company.LGF.v

Laurentian Goldfields' description of the property seems to liken it to the Timmins area,

Geological Setting – Regional, Property

“Classic Archean structural setting and alteration footprint”
The Maze Lake Property is underlain by Archean supracrustal rocks of central Hearne subdomain. Recent work correlates the central Hearne subdomain with the Abitibi Subprovince of the Superior (Davis et al 2004, Bleeker & Ernst, 2007). The significance of this correlation is evident in the fact that greater than 100 million ounces of gold have been produced from the Abitibi Subprovince."

Alas ! I am no geologist so who am I to judge ? I suppose there are 100's of such properties, eh ? Or is this something special ? Here's a Link to Laurentians' website if it should be of interest.
